blooming time....

Hello,

long time no see....sorry for that....there were so many new things around....Happy Easter first of all! Hope you had a wonderful holidays. Here are pictures from our holiday walk in the Garden - you can see that the weather was...no words...and the nature was blooming and the grass was so green...the best time of the year - it is not too hot to feel like you are melting down and it is not cold to feel freezing cold ...

 The worst about the holidays is that they always have to end...and now we are in the middle of the working week...hold on the weekend is near and we are hoping for more of that sunny weather :-) :-) Happy week! See you soon :-)  

Funny story...all of the pictures are made with my phone, because when we started to take photos with our camera it turned out that I forgot the memory card at home....and we just carried our camera with us for a walk.... :-)

отдавна не съм писала тук нали...какво да се прави толкова много нови неща...но първо - Христос Воскресе! Надявам се да сте си отпочинали добре :-) 

В този пост съм сложила снимки от разходката ни из Градината, по празниците...от снимките може да се види, че времето беше разкошно - природата беше разцъфнала, тревата беше зелена...най-доброто време от годината, когато не е твърде топло, че да се топиш, но не е студено, за да зъзнеш...

Но най - лошото нещо на празниците е, че имат своя край....и пак започна работната седмица...нищо ще се издържи, все пак са амо четири дни...

Забавна случка...всички снимки от поста са направени с моя телефон, защото, когато решихме да се снимаме, се оказа, че съм забравила картата памет у дома...така само разходихме фотоапарат с нас...:-)

Blue Monday....

 

Just a quick post about my Monday uniform...:-) Not a long time ago I did not prepare my outfit before the day of wearing it....but it turned out that when I woke up in the morning I was loosing a lot of time to think what I would wear, to iron the clothes I chose, to accessorize them and so on... So, recently, I decided to prepare my outfit from the previous day...it really helped me a lot to cut the time of the preparation in the morning... Now I have a time for a homemade coffee...

Here it is my Monday outfit...Hope you like it... Seeing the pictures I have decided that I will leave the owl pin and instead I will wear the scarf...Have a successful week :-)

Един бързичък пост посветен на понеделнишкия ми аутфит :-) Преди известно време не си приготвях дрехи предварително за деня. Оказа се, че това е ужасна стратегия /или по скоро липса на такава/, защото губех страшно много време сутрин в избор на дрехи, гладенете им, в чудене съчетват ли се, какъв аксесора да добавя. Но от скоро започнах да си приготвям дрехи за следващия ден предварително и това ми спетява доста време сутрин...дори има за едно кафе ;-)

Some changes...

Hello everyone!

How was your week....

The sprig is here, even if we can not feel it yet...and there are some changes in the air.....Like new beginning...like a promise for good emotions....And overwhelmed by such thoughts I did some closet cleaning:  it is not that warm here but I have already put away my winter coats in the closet....it might be a huge mistake because sometimes there is snow in April here but with this action I will call the warmer days....You know you have to think positively to see the positive change.. :-)  

Another spring change is that since I have started a new job I won't be able to post here as frequently, as I wish I could but I will try to post every weekend. Because I love to write my thoughts here and people do not give up thing they love that easily, do they? So, keep in touch every weekend....

Как мина работната седмица?

Надявам се добре....Пролетта е вече тук и аз предприех почистване на гардероба, като си зазимих дебелите якета, дано не се окаже голяма грешка, тъй като сме виждали и сняг през април тук - ще стане ясно по-късно...но пък с това си действие се надявам да повикам топлото време...все пак ако искаш положителна промяна, трябва да се настроиш на тази вълна нали..:-) :-):-) 

Друга пролетна промяна е, че започнах нова работа, така че няма да мога да поствам тук толкова често, колкото ми се иска, но ще се опитам да пиша всеки уикенд, защото това е нещо, което обичам да правя, а човек не се отказва лесно от любими неща нали...

Между временно поствам тук едни по-старички снимки, за да донеса слънчево настроение на всеки, който ги види :-) Весел уикенд! :-):-)

Hear it on the radio....

  Hello everyone!
  Welcome spring - welcome to the warmer weather and longer days...finally it is here!
  Birds were singing, sun was shining  - the weather was gorgeous this Sunday so we went out for a walk and coffee by the sea...and funny thing happened:

When we were walking back home I suggested my boy to stop by a shop...he of course was not very glad about that - he hates shopping, especially with me :-) :-) :-) (I walk through the stores really slow and I'm looking at everything - you never know where you can find a treasure) but we went. And there we spotted these amazing bags some were radios, others were old TVs, there were some bags made out of old records...all of them were really well made. I spotted for myself a bag - cassette recorder, but I did not have the money. But my boy spotted this radio bag  - it is small and the price was very reasonable..and what was my surprise when he said that he will take it...he never gets stuff from the first visit unless he really likes them.  He said that he will use it for a cooler version of a case for our camera. So, he strike it lucky because of me...and  then of course I stole the bag from him for this quick photo-shoot :-) and probably I will stole it a lot...until I will buy myself one of these bags - I am in two minds between  a bag-cassette recorder and a bag which is made from recycled old records - you know me true retro lover :-)

  
   Oh I almost forgot to write you that you can move the buttons of the radio - bag like you do to the real radio - how cool is that...:-)
For the Sunday walk I went for all grey outfit today - to the contrast to the sunny day and added a red hat for a pop of color :-)

Честита пролет! Добре дошло на топлото, слънчево време, на по-дългите дни.... най-сетне :-)
И тъй птички пеят, грее слънце и излязохме на неделна разходка и кафе на плажа :-)

   На път за вкъщи се случи нещо забавно:
Предложих на моя човек да се отбием в един магазин, той разбира се не беше никак, ама никак, във възторг ;-)  /той не е много по пазаруването, особено, ако и аз участвам, аз пазарувам бавно, разглеждам всичко и всичко ми е интересно, все пак не се знае къде са скрити находките/ и влязохме, в този магазин и имаше жестоки чанти - чанта - телевизор, чанти от грамофонни плочи, чанти - радио, чанта - касетофон...моят личен фаворит беше чантата касетофон, но нямах пари да си я купя......но каква беше изненада ми, когато моят човек залепна за тази чанта - радио...каза че я иска, за да слага в нея фотоапрата ни...тя е малка сравнително и цената беше разумна и той си я купи :-) :-) :-) това е много нетипично за него, той никога не си взема неща така внезапно, освен, ако не си ги е харесал многооооо. И така той намаза придобивка, заради мен....Естествено аз пък му я откраднах за една бърза фотосесия :-) и мисля, че още ще му я крада, поне, докато си купя и аз някоя фънки чанта...колебая се между чанта - касетофон и чанта от рецеклирани гамафанни плочи....само пари да има ;-)

   ОО забравих да напиша, че копчетата на чантата-радио се въртят, като копчета на истинско радио..не e ли яко това...

My collection...

  As you may understand by my blog name, here is  the place for everything old and vintage. Also the warm weather is near... So, I decided to show you my collection - thrifted  coca cola t-shirts :-) First I should write few things: I am a huge t-shirts fan, I do not wear tank tops during the hot days and I do not know why I prefer t-shirts. And then I am not a huge fan of the drink coca cola, I like to drink it from time to time.

   About the collection, if I can name it "collection" at all: the fist one I bought last summer  - the red plain one with the white sign on it. I came across on it by chance in a thrift shop near my parents home. It costed me about 3 lv.( about 1,50 euro) but I wore it all summer. It runs little bit large on me but, I really like that baggy look which it brings to every outfit. And it is red which I loooveee. 

  The second one I bought at the end of the last summer - the white one with the picture of a girl on it. It is from a different thrift shop. I came across on it by chance again, I can not remember the price of it but it was not more then 3-4 lv. ( about 2 euro). As it was at the end of summer I did not had a chance to wear it.

  And the last one - with the 75-th anniversary of coca cola sign on it, I bought  it last week and again I did not looking for it when I found it. And that is the magic of the thrift shops you never know what you will find. I really like all of my t-shirts and I will wear them a lot this summer, I know it. Do like my finds? 

Моята колекция...

Както става ясно и от името на блога ми, тук е място за всичко старо и ретро. Също така и наближават и по-топли дни,, затова реших да представя моята колекция от ретро тениски на кока кола, всички са от магазини за  дрехи втора употреба. 

  Преди да представя самите тениски, трябва да отбележа някои неща: първо много обичам тениски, по цяло лято нося само тениски, не си падам особено по потници. И второ не съм голям почитател на напитката кола, пия я понякога, но не е нещо, което си купувам всеки ден.

 Първата тениска от колекцията ми /ако колекция може да включва 3 неща :-)/, си купих миналото лято - това е изчистената, червена, с бял надпис. Струваше около 3 лева и се разбих да я нося. Много си я обичам леко е по-торбеста, но това придава по-небрежен вид на облеклото ми, когато я нося, което много ми допада.

  Втората, на която също попаднах, съвсем случайно, в друг магазин за втора употреба, е бялата тениска, с картинка на момиче на нея. И тя не беше много скъпа, купих я на края на миналото лято и не можах да я нося. Но мисля, че ще я нося доста това лято.

 Третата, последната, която си купих, беше миналата седмица, също попаднах случайно на нея. Тя е леко малинова на цвят и е с надпис за 75 годишнина на кола. Мисля, че и нея ще си нося с удоволствие това лято.

 Сега мисля кола трябва да ми платят, че ще се разнасям с техните надписи това лято...ходещ билборд все пак...хахахах..;-) ;-) ;-)

On the Balkans we are eating...TARATOR

 

          

Spring is in the air, so let's make TARATOR...

 

   What is TARATOR ? - it is a dish, probably is better to say it is a cold soup, it is very simple and we usually serve it cold   in  the summer.

  TARATOR is popular in most of the Balkan countries like Greece, Serbia, Turkey, Bulgaria and more  - more info here . And if you did not read my article about SARMI, you probably do not know about the Balkans and my series about food and drinks in our part of Europe, so in case you've missed it - here . 

 What you need for this simple simple dish? 1. Cucumbers - one or two, it depends on the size of the vegetables and the quantities of the soup you want to make, I used only one for two bowls. 2. One jar of yogurt from cow milk (the yogurt shown on the picture is not from cow milk, it is from buffalo cow - I'm not sure if it is the right translation this animal looks like this  , and I'm using in only for the picture, it is not good for tarator) - in our country the usual package of yogurt is 400 gram; 3. The flavors:  I will write all the usual things that we add to this soup to give it its great taste, but if you want you can skip one or all of the following, but remember, if you want to taste the traditional thing, you should try it with all of the ingredients - salt, oil - olive or sunflower (traditionally), crashed walnuts, garlic and dill;  4. Water - it depends on the quantity of the other things and on your personal taste - you can make the soup more watery or you can make it more creamy;

Making it: 1. Pill off and chop the cucumbers, you can grate them, but I prefer to chop them in cubes in a big bowl or pot 2. Whip with fork the yogurt in the jar first and then spread it onto of the cucumber chops 3. In the jar from the yogurt measure cold water - you can pour more or less - depends on how you want it - watery or creamy, then pour it onto the yogurt and the cucumbers, mix it really well to avoid some chunks from the yogurt, if it is not dissolved enough; 4. Then add to the mixture some salt, oil, crashed walnuts, crashed garlic and chopped dill, then mix again well; 5. Serve in bowl or in glass, when it is summer we usually add  some ice cubes to be cold and refreshing; 

When I made it:

I did not put in my tarator garlic and walnuts, because I did not have any, but I will add the next time I make it...I usually make this recipe so much in the summer that sometimes I get bored with it, but not for too long ...:-)       

     

На Балканите си хапваме....таратор :-)

   Моята серия продължава, и днес съм представила едино много добре познато и обичано, от всеки българин, предястие или съпътстващо ястие - тараторът. В описанието на английски език се спрях, отново, по-подробно на съставките и приготвянето на таратора, но не мисля, че в българското описание е нужно това...всеки у нас знае как се прави таратор..нали?!? 

   Най-забележителното при таратора е, че винаги, когато го готвя, ми ухае на лято :-) (толкова лесно се прави, че ме е срам, че съм свързала  думата "таратор" с думата "готвя" :-)))) и цялата къща ми изглежда по-лятна и топла.

   Ако не знаете за моята серия от ястия и питиета, посветена на местни балкански гозби и която се казва "На Балканите си хапваме..." - тук е първа част ... :-)

  Та онзи ден беше по-топло и си направихме за обяд тараторче :-) защото става бързо и лесно, и понеже беше обяд, и някои от нас са на работа, е без чесън. Нямах и пресен копър, сложих сушен и забравих да сложа орехи... :-) Но пак си стана за ядене..

  Направи си и ти таратор и пролетта ще дойде и в твоя дом :-) /това стана като реклама хахах/

 А и кой знае, ако всички избързаме с таратора преди лятото - може и това студено време да си тръгне по-бъзо... :-)

Pink is popping through...

  Since I was having some work to do yesterday, I had to look smart enough and business appropriate for an important meeting.
Although you can still see my personal style childishly radiating through...I could never be this really smart and put together lady that sometimes I wish to be...and added baby pink shirt and pink nails to feel more me...:-)
   It turns out that I'm all in ZARA - everything is from different sales - except the shoes and the bag. Love the dragonfly pin  - it was a gift from my mom and it goes pretty well with all my stuff. My new thing is to wear it with this ZARA bomber jacket, which is sporty and I think that the sparkly pin gives it more glamorous vibe.
    Hope you like my smarty look, with a twist :-):-):-)

  In accordance with my thoughts about my childish nature - I heard this on a movie trailer and it is on my mind since then: " ...like I'm a child who's trying to look like an adult.." What do you think...;-);-) Sometimes I feel the same way...:-)

ZARA all in...

   Вчера ми са налагаше да отида на една по-важна среща и трябваше да изгреждам по-делово и елегантно. Но както може да се види моят личен детински стил пак извира...изпод бебешко розовата риза и розовия лак, които добавих в ансамбъла, за да се чувствам по себе си :-)
  Оказа се, че съм се облякла изцяло в дрехи от ZARA, от различни намаления, без обувките и чантата.
   Добавих за аксесоар тази брошка, която много обичам, тя е водно конче, подарък ми е от майка ми и си отива с много мои неща - като в последно време обичам да я съчетавам с това по-спортно яке, на което блестящите камъчета на брошката придават по-елегантен вид.

  Във връзка с мислите ми за детинския стил, чух нещо, което ми се запечата от един трейлър от филм - " чувставам се като дете, което се опитва да изглежда на възрастен..." :-) на моменти това ми е много познато...
